Maria Bello
While it's still unclear just how Dread-worthy the film itself will be, a new clip and a trailer for Carjacked have arrived, and we have them for you here ... just in case!
While it's still unclear just how Dread-worthy the film itself will be, the Blu-ray and DVD artwork for Carjacked is here, and since we reported on it once before, we figured we'd let you know!
Horror can come in many forms. Be it monster driven or madman driven, you just never know when your life is about to take a turn for the terrifying. Case in point: Peter Medak's new thriller Carjacked.
Film Independent, the non-profit arts organization that produces the Independent Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival, announced nominations this morning for the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards, and we couldn't be more pleased to announce that Paranormal Activity is the recipient of one of them. Congratulations to all parties involved!
What better way to start off a weekend than by downloading and sampling a bit on Nancy's psycho-thriller goodness! That's right, folks! Lock up the kids, bolt the doors, and dim the lights! It's time to see what kind of hazards can come from a not-so-innocent cyber affair!
Yet another one-sheet to dig on comes to us tonight, this time for the reportedly disturbing and oddly titled film Downloading Nancy starring Maria Bello as a lonely woman who turns to the Internet to find someone willing to kill her but finds love and fulfillment of her darkest desires instead. Of course freaky, kinky, and deadly shit ensues much to our delight.

Though I’m not sure just how “horror” this title may be, the early reactions from Johan Renck’s Downloading Nancy at Sundance were enough to make us take note of it then, so what’s the harm in updating you guys on it now?

Is it a good idea to hand over the Mummy franchise to a director known mainly for his movies about fast cars? We shall find out when The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor hits on August 1st, 2008. But now we can have a taste…
Even though I’d like to tell myself that the upcoming Mummy sequel directed by Rob Cohen isn’t something that really fits well with Dread Central, we all know that’s not the case. Even if it is just an action-adventure film with CG monsters, we’re all still going to see it opening weekend, aren’t we? Yes, yes we are.
“Completely unwatchable”
“It was like the film was raping my face”
“highbrow-pervo conversation piece”
These are only some of the things people are saying about Downloading Nancy, the oddly-titled first film from Swedish music video/commercial big deal Johan Renck. Maria Bello, Jason Patric and Rufus Sewell star.
Not that it’s ever been in much question, but a little official information never hurts.
Variety announced this morning that Brendan Fraser has just signed the deal to return to his role as Rick O’Connell in the upcoming Rob Cohen-helmed Mummy 3. A bit suprising is the word that Rachel Weisz, who played his wife Evelyn, will not be coming back on board. But then, she has other work lined up...
Does the world need another Mummy movie? Especially one directed by the mad genius behind The Fast and the Furious? Universal seems to think so! If the report that showed up over on TMZ are true, that is.
It’s been rumored for a long time now that eventually someone would bring us another Mummy movie, though God knows most of us didn't ask for one after The Mummy Returns failed to exactly set hearts and minds on fire, but then we’re not the ones in charge, are we? No... not yet...
