We admit we were suffering from withdrawal after The CW preempted this week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" so getting word of this clip from Episode 3.13, "Bringing Out the Dead", went a long way toward relieving a bit of the pain.

Executive Producer Julie Plec takes us back to the Roaring 20's in a new preview clip from this week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries", entitled "The End of the Affair". Flash back to Stefan's old ripper days this Thursday, September 29th, at 8:00 pm, when we also find out exactly what guest star Jack Coleman has in store for the much beloved Caroline.

This week on "The Vampire Diaries" the hunt for Stefan, who has reverted to his "ripper" ways thanks to Klaus, moves from the backwoods of Tennessee to the city life of Chicago. Check out this new clip from Episode 3.03, "The End of the Affair", featuring co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder finding a bit more than they bargained for.

Just two episodes in, and already "The Vampire Diaries" has given us our first look at guest star Jack Coleman (were you guys as shocked as we were as to his true identity?), we've seen Klaus' plan fail miserably (at least for now), and things are heating up for Jeremy as he tries to juggle two women from his past. What more could the future hold? Check out this preview of Episode 3.03, "The End of the Affair", in which Stefan relives a few of his good ol' ripper days.

We haven't even watched the season premiere of "The Vampire Diaries" yet, but The CW is making sure everyone is primed and ready for upcoming Episodes 3 and 4, "The End of the Affair" and "Disturbing Behavior", respectively, by releasing the synopses for both eps well in advance. If you would have told us at the start of Season One of "The Vampire Diaries" that we'd end up really digging on the show, we'd have laughed at you. However, as with "Buffy" and "Angel", we've become strangely addicted. In any event Season Two of the titular show is on its way to home video, and we have all the details for ya! While we've been promised resolution of this season's story arc, we're also confident that exec producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec will be leaving us with a cliffhanger.
