I've made my feelings about the Friday the 13th remake abundantly clear by now, but since it's hitting Blu-ray and DVD on June 16th, all my venom is bubbling back up to the surface. Will the new cut with the added footage do anything to change the minds of spurned fans like myself? I think that depends on what it is that didn't we see ... like more little Jason for instance.

New York can be a scary place for anyone not familiar with it, but I think even the most hardened New Yorker would piss themselves if asked to spend too much time underneath the city which, according to director Marcus Nispel, is deeper than it is higher.

The first “official” TV spot for Friday the 13th has appeared thanks to the guys at The Movie Box, which you can feast thine eyes upon below. The MPAA recently gave the Platinum Dunes redux the coveted “R” rating, so any fears of them going for the cheap shot and looking for a PG-13 may be allayed.

Our brothers in harm over at STYD scored themselves the first look at Jason flaunting his sack from the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of Friday the 13th. Gotta say, I still dig this look a bit more than the hockey mask, but then again ... I'm old school.
