This Halloween the horror community is going to give back in a big way. The newly formed sCare Foundation will host its inaugural fundraising event on October 30, 2011, in the Conga Room at L.A. Live. An evening filled with entertainment, dancing and an exciting auction, the event will benefit the CHAMPION Fund at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to support the life-saving programs of the Hollywood Homeless Youth Project (HHYP).

For the rest of the world it's easy to assume that the horror genre is full of psychos and freaks. Yes, we have our fair share, but what they don't know is that the genre is also home to some of the single most passionate, intelligent, and caring fans and professionals you could ever hope to find. Now the man behind one of the largest horror franchises in the world is out to prove just that.

You have got to love it when a plan comes together. Especially when said plan unites individuals with their own bounty of horror cred to work on one single project. A project that is of The Violent Kind.
