Limited Release Schedule for The Canyon

We don't want to get our hopes up too high, but it's starting to seem like we're seeing a true resurgence in the indie horror market. Thanks to entities like Truly Indie, "little" films such as The Canyon are getting theatrical releases across the country. Granted, they're small, limited releases, but these days horror fans are happy to take what we can get!

Official Canyon Trailer Debut

Never mind that other one. The official trailer trailer for the new indie thriller The Canyon starring Yvonne Strahovski, one of the stars of the NBC series "Chuck", has surfaced online today, and we've got a look at it for you!

Loads of Behind-the-Scenes Stills from The Canyon

Yvonne Strahovski, one of the stars of the NBC series "Chuck", has gone through a lot of stuff on the show, but all of that is nothing in comparison to the trials and tribulations that she follows in the new indie thriller The Canyon!

Magnolia Procures The Eclipse at Tribeca

Established playwright Conor McPherson can add another feather to his cap now that Magnolia has acquired his debut directorial project, The Eclipse (not to be confused with Eclipse, the 2nd Twilight sequel), at Tribeca 2009. The deal is also notable as the first major sale at the fest for the past several years.

Put the Wrong Subs On, Let The Right One In?

Horror fans? We're rabid. We notice everything sooner or later, and we're certainly not afraid to call someone on their bullshit, and that's exactly what has happened pertaining to Magnolia's English subtitle track on their release of Let the Right One In.

Splinter DVD Delay a Good Thing?

Maybe you didn’t notice it, but I know we sure as hell did; Splinter was supposed to hit DVD on January 27th. It didn’t. Why the hell is that, do you ask? No idea, but Magnolia will now be releasing Toby Wilkins’ badass monster movie on April 14th.

Exclusive Clip From Donkey Punch!

Though it’s hard to take a movie called Donkey Punch too seriously, all the reports I’ve heard about it, including our own review, confirm that it’s anything but goofy, despite the title. This clip goes a helluva long way to proving that!

MPAA Rates Hills Run Red, Mutant & More

Not a helluva lot of interesting “news” in here, but I thought it would warm the cockles of your collective heart, something desperately needed as temperatures continue to plummet on the East Coast, to know that some upcoming horror is, indeed, horrific.

U.S. Poster for Donkey Punch

Wow, that is just a really bad poster. No offense to Magnolia, but the UK poster for Donkey Punch was a helluva lot more appealing than this one, which Fangoria got their hands on yesterday.

Final Art for Toby Wilkins' Splinter

How sad that the actual DVD art for Toby Wilkins’ Splinter isn’t that much better than the fake DVD art that was floating around a few weeks back? DVD Active got a look at the art thanks to a trade publication, so it’s most definitely legit.

U.S. Timecrimes Trailer!

Timecrimes (review) will be playing in some select theatres in November, but Magnolia is keeping us on edge as to where we can see it.
