The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
We couldn't be much more excited about today's release of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment if we tried. As the first M-rated video game bearing The Lord of the Rings name, this game promises lots of blood-soaked mayhem. Don't believe us? We're just a few days away from the November 1st release of The Lord of the Rings: War in the North by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment so today they've unveiled the game's launch trailer. Developed by Snowblind Studios, this action RPG introduces a new adventure to Middle-earth’s canon with a new story deeply entrenched in the hallmarks of The Lord of the Rings: strength, courage, and fellowship.
Here to kick off the weekend in style are a pair of new 360-degree screenshots from The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, giving unhindered views of the new regions of Middle-earth awaiting exploration. These interactive screenshots give expansive views of the game, offering full perspective on the unexplored lands and threats of the North.
We haven't given The Lord of the Rings: War in the North a lot of coverage here on Dread Central, but when we heard that it breaks new ground as the first LOTR video game to embrace the gritty and brutal reality of Middle-earth with creatures more fearsome than orcs, more cunning than trolls, and more loathsome than giant spiders, well, we just had to share this new "Big Boss Vignette" with our readers.
We know The Lord of Rings isn't technically pure horror, but it does have some pretty awesome creatures in it so we figured our readers in San Diego for Comic-Con would want to hear about "The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Middle-earth Experience" taking place on Saturday, July 23rd.
