An eight-pack of indie vampire flicks is hitting store shelves and virtual retailers on July 18th, and it's loaded with original director cuts presented in their original form the way they were intended to be viewed: raw and over-the-top!

You know it's a slow DVD release week when two of the offerings are a couple of rather obscure films whose main selling points are that they star folks from The Twilight Saga. And speaking of Twilight, if you can look at the new cover art for the Near Dark Blu-ray without thinking of those sparkly vamps, then you're one of the lucky ones.

We heard from writer/director Christopher DiNunzio today that his film Livestock has been picked up for distribution by R-Squared Films with a DVD release date of November 10, 2009.
