Shooting is going well over on the set of Saw IV, or so director Darren Lynn Bousman reports in his latest Fearnet blog entry. Everyone’s covered in blood, morale is high, and the cast and crew are having a great time.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, "reports of Rider Strong's death in Cabin Fever have been exaggerated." What that means for fans of the film is that Strong's character Paul will indeed be returning in the sequel, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, along with the strangely endearing Deputy Winston (Giuseppe Andrews).

I guess the question of whether a sequel to Eli Roth’s debut film Cabin Fever is or is not necessary is moot since we’re not really the ones to make such calls (yet), so we move on and hope Lionsgate has our best interests in mind when banging out a sequel.
For anyone that isn’t sure about the connection between music and horror films — and I know there still may be a few of you out there — the music marketing company that’s behind the Saw III soundtrack would suggest that the link is undeniable.
