A Bit More Saw V Casting News

Oh yes, there will be blood, and sequels, and traps, and confusion! The Saw franchise has long been one to leave the viewer with more questions than it does answers. Can Jigsaw succeed in carrying the torture torch for yet another three films (despite being dead) starting with Saw V? Lionsgate seems to think so, and since we're talking about a series that revels in surprise, it's impossible to write them off just yet!

Exclusive: Hickox's Sundown Hits DVD This Halloween!

Though we don’t have any solid details on it yet, a very reliable source just let us know that Lionsgate has plans to release Anthony (Waxwork, Hellraiser III) Hickox’s “lost” film, Sundown, on DVD this Halloween!

Frontier(s) Release Plan Set

After Dark Films has finally figured out its plans for Xavier (Hitman) Gens’ Frontier(s) it was announced today. Though the film was originally slated to be part of the 8 Films to Die For (we got Lake Dead instead...), its NC-17 rating could not be modified in time to get it in theaters this past November.

Bousman Updates Saw V, Repo!

So it’s not a big amount of news, but Darren Lynn Bousman just posted on his MySpace blog that the Saw V production offices have officially opened ... a mere two blocks away from where he’s working on Repo! The Genetic Opra.

Repo! The Animated Opening!

Before Darren Lynn Bousman got behind the camera to make Repo! The Genetic Opera a reality, he made a short film with some friends on the weekend to prove how good it could be. Since there are some legal SAG issues with posting the entire short, he recently updated his MySpace page with the good news that you can, at least, check out how the short opened. And it’s animated! Frontière(s) Returns

Last week we noticed that Xavier Gens' Frontière(s) went missing from After Dark Horror Fest's final roster of films that will start playing nationwide on November 9th. It was a pretty sad turn of events simply because the movie was about Neo-Nazis and extreme gore.
