As you may recall, The Roommate made its way to both DVD and Blu-ray this week, and in honor of the occasion Sony Pictures has provided two clips from the release - a deleted scene entitled "ID Check" and a minute and a half from the Obsession: The Making of The Roommate featurette.

The home video moment you've been waiting for all year is nearly upon us. That's right, kids, The Roommate is making its way to both DVD and Blu-ray. Please for the love of all that is holy, try and contain yourselves! From the Press Release

You know what's really sad? When something that's only a couple of minutes long made for a laugh and to help promote a movie ends up being way better than the movie itself. Yep. Such is the case here.

*Phone rings* Creepy: "Hello?" Foy: "Yeah, hello!" Creepy: "What's up?" Foy: "Ya know, if we didn't need a review for this crap I would have left about halfway through!" Creepy: "That good, huh?" Lord only knows how this weekend's horror offering The Roommate will fare with genre fans, but as always we've got all of the bases covered for you in terms of everything you need to judge whether or not this one will be worth your box office dime.

With its February 4th release date looming, we knew it was just a matter of time before Screen Gems starting cutting loose with some goods for The Roommate, and today we have the launch of the film's website along with a big batch of stills ... enough to fill an entire gallery!

Screen Gems' The Roommate just got a lot better looking with the addition of Danneel Harris of "One Tree Hill" to the cast as an old friend of star Minka Kelly.

Hey Twilight fans. Yeah, we know you're here. It's OK, we won't tell. Cam Gigandet has just signed on for another thriller for you to go crazy over (assuming of course that Twilight fans go crazy for things not having to do with sparkling vampires)!

The tale of Roommate is a strange one. During the filming of The Strangers, one of its producers, Sonny Mallhi, saw fit to write his own horror flick under an assumed named so that the script would be treated fairly in the marketplace. The script was for a thriller called Roommate, which ended up being picked up by Sony/Screen Gems.
