Spend 20 Minutes Exploring The Legend of Linda Vista

Filmmaker Francis Xavier dropped us a line to make us aware of a special 20-minute long sneak preview of what to expect from his upcoming fear film The Legend of Linda Vista, a truly haunted location that this writer spent some quality time in. Holy cow, is this place creepy.
According to the official PR for The Legend of Linda Vista, here’s what we can expect: In 2010 a team of filmmakers filming a scene of their serial killer/cannibal feature Poe experienced something beyond comprehension. Xavier, the film’s writer and director, along with producer Michael Kureth and co-producer Jo Ann Smith, witnessed something while filming in the vacant hospital that would change their lives forever. To celebrate (Edgar Allan) Poe’s birthday on January 19th, 2013, at the stroke of midnight, the filmmakers, along with five others, were locked in the Linda Vista Hospital to embark on their own personal journey in order to find the truth of what really lies behind its doors.
Xavier’s fascination with the structure, which lies in Boyle Heights just east of downtown Los Angeles and was originally constructed in 1903 as a hospital for railroad workers (but in subsequent years has served as the location for countless horror productions), began with his first film, Poe. Xavier stated, “After wrapping up shooting scenes for Poe, I witnessed something that I will never forget, and this is the reason I am doing this project. What I saw in that hospital that night fucked me up for life, and I think not knowing is more horrifying than the most explicit terror anyone can ever imagine.”
