Officially Licensed Dexter Replica Props to Die forSpeaking as a victim of the Time Warner Cable/CBS Blackout Kill Table, words cannot describe how irritated I am that we couldn’t tune in to “Dexter” last night. Thankfully the good folks over at Cloned Replicas managed to put a bit of a smile on my face.

On sale right now are quality replicas of some of Dex’s more memorable props: Dexter Morgan Miami Metro ID Badge with U-Shaped Badge Holder (as seen worn by Michael C. Hall during Season One), a “Smiley Face” Blood Slide, and a Jordan Chase Vial Necklace from Season 5.

Check out the goods below.

For more info be sure to visit the official “Dexter” page on Showtime, “like” “Dexter” on Facebook, follow “Dexter” on Twitter, and stop by the “Dexter” Tumblr page, which serves as the hub for fan-created content.

CLONED Replicas is proud to present our first replica prop! A LIMITED EDITION of only 500 will be replicated. This prop is 100% screen-accurate. The identical badge holder, lamination and paper are used to re-create this replica. Each I.D. and badge holder has an exclusive serial number that matches the Certificate of Authenticity which guarantees it is authentically made by our company. This prop replica is an OFFICIALLY LICENSED PRODUCT & ENDORSED by SHOWTIME.

A LIMITED EDITION of 1000 will be replicated. This replica was “CLONED” using artwork and conceptual designs for maximum authenticity and accuracy. The identical shape and size was taken from a high resolution HD film gel to re-create the blood drop details and includes the identical brand of glass microscope slides DEXTER uses.

In “Return to Sender” (Season 1, Episode 6) DEXTER scraped off ½ of the blood from this glass slide to test the blood for a DNA marker which linked it to Valerie Castillo. He begins to realize that this is a clue from the Ice Truck Killer, then places Jorge Castillo’s fingerprints and a drop of Valerie’s blood onto a knife, which he plants conveniently in a car located at their storage facility. This prop replica is an OFFICIALLY LICENSED PRODUCT & ENDORSED by SHOWTIME.

A LIMITED EDITION of only 100 will be replicated. This replica was “CLONED” using original prop photos, conceptual designs and a high resolution HD film gel – ensuring maximum authenticity and accuracy. The vial has been slightly modified to include a heavy-duty necklace clasp built directly into the top of the vial which keeps it securely attached to the necklace.

If the identical clasp and ringlet were used, the replica would break or fall off from the necklace over time. We create high quality products and decided to make the vial better than the original so it would last longer than a lifetime.

In “Teenage Wasteland” (Season 5, Episode 8), DEXTER becomes an acquaintance of Jordan Chase and cleverly drains some blood from the necklace Jordan wears. DEXTER later finds out that the blood belongs to Emily Birch. She is “The Group’s” first victim that they raped and tortured. Emily and Lumen are the only two to ever escape from them alive.

This prop replica is an OFFICIALLY LICENSED PRODUCT & ENDORSED by SHOWTIME.

Vintage Toy Finder ALERT! If You Collect This Is a MUST-READ!

Published

on

Anyone who knows me knows that when it comes to collectibles, I’m like a moth to a flame. Especially vintage toys. I, like many of you, grew up in a dysfunctional family circus. When I reached a certain age, my parents saw fit to take my most beloved toys and give them away to younger kids or just trash them completely. I’m still devastated. My childhood was pretty much nil, and I’ve been swimming in chaos ever since.

Once things finally “calmed down” a bit, I began reclaiming these relics of happier times. Damned straight I got an 18″ Kenner Alien, a Stretch X-Ray doll, a Mighty Men and Monster Maker, the Bermuda Triangle board game, etc. I revel in them as few items make me as happy as they do. As a result I always keep my eye out for things, specifically horror related toys I may have missed.

Enter 1967’s Ka-Bala, the most insane and intricate Ouija board I’ve ever seen. I don’t use Ouijas, but once I saw this, it was love at first shiver. The problem with collecting toys like this is that rarely can you find them complete. For Christmas Debi tracked down Ka-Bala for me, BUT we were missing the instructions. There’s not much sense in playing or having a board game if you don’t know said rules.

I scoured the Internet but only came up with a few sites that were charging astronomical prices for replacement parts and/or instructions. It was ludicrous. So I busted out my Creepy resources and asked our resident board game loony David Hahn, who writes Last Meeple Standing for us, for some help. Within days he and his wondrous wife, Tiffany (who also works with David on Meeple), led me to a site called Lost and Found Vintage Toys maintained by Brenda Roudabush.

Brenda, who says she has “gotten to play happiness broker several times reuniting vintage kids with their old long lost toys,” got right to work and sent me some amazing scans of the instructions and more.

After piquing my interest with her knowledge of such things, I can’t recommend her more. If you’re a collector, and chances are very good that you are because, well you’re reading this, make sure to check out the site listed above. It’s like an encyclopedia of happiness! Enjoy, and tell her Creepy sent ya!

For even more fun check out my other go-to toy site, Raymond Castile’s Gallery of Monster Toys. Quick trivia re Ray… He’s the spitting image of Coffin Joe and played young Zé do Caixão in José Mojica Marins’ 2008 film Embodiment of Evil. How friggin’ cool is that? It’s a small and sometimes wonderful world, I tell ya!

Gremlins 2 Blind Bag Is Adorable and Awesome

Published

“G2, baby. G2!”

I’m not going to lie to you guys and say that I know what this Blind Bag Collection is. It seems from the slick name that one shouldn’t know what’s exactly inside… but maybe I’m missing something.

Anyhow, none of that really matters as long as the Blind Bag Collection boasts such awesome shite as this Gremlins 2: The New Batch one from Monogram International does, then it’s all good.

The set seems to include a collection figural keyrings that include such classic Gremlins characters as Combat Gizmo, Brownie, Penny, Phantom, Stripe, Greta, Gizmo, Flasher, George, and Lightning Gremlin and Bat Gremlin.

You can check out pics from the “Gremlins Series 2 Blind Bag Collection” below as well as a fun unboxing video. After all that make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think!

For more cool stuff, make sure to check out Monogram International on Facebook HERE.
