The Walking Dead Minimates Series 3 Based on the Prison Storyline Coming this Spring

Diamond Select Toys and Skybound have announced the prison-based The Walking Dead Minimates Series 3 debuting this spring along with a contest to make your own mini-movie starring the two earlier series of The Walking Dead Minimates to be judged by Robert Kirkman.

Diamond Select Toys, the leader in toy manufacturing for the comic book specialty market for 2012, and The Walking Dead creator/writer Robert Kirkman and his Skybound imprint at Image Comics bring you The Walking Dead Series 3 Minimates coming this spring, based on Kirkman’s Eisner Award-winning, groundbreaking comic book series and graphic novels. The Walking Dead Minimates Series 3 will feature the prison storyline from The Walking Dead and will include Rick Grimes in Riot Gear, Dexter, Hershel and Tyreese, each in a two-pack with a different zombie.
To celebrate, Kirkman and Diamond Select Toys will judge a contest featuring fan videos utilizing The Walking Dead Minimates toys already available. The videos should tell an original story based on the universe of The Walking Dead, the leader in all original graphic novels for 2012. Each video should be no more than 60 seconds in length,and the winner will receive a personally autographed The Walking Dead Compendium and an autographed set of The Walking Dead Minimates Series 3 set. All videos will be the property of Skybound, and the winning video will run on the Skybound website, where you will also find the competition rules. The contest ends on February 5th, and the results will be announced February 10th.
