And the news week continues this time with the first ever clip from Robert Hall's upcoming sequel, ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2! Dying to see what old silver-head's been up to? Dig it!

Week Two of shooting ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 was one of the more interesting times on set. Insane amounts of blood, new faces, and watching a very dedicated cast and crew come together to make the impossible possible have demonstrated everyone’s dedication to bringing horror fans a new installment in the Laid to Rest franchise.

In light of the news we received earlier today that Michael Biehn is flexing his director muscle on another project, it's not a huge surprise that he's stepped away from ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2. Who's replacing him? None other than Welsh actor Owain Yeoman.

If you would have told me last year as I sat in my car doing a phone interview on my lunch break with writer/director Robert Hall for his 2009 slasher flick Laid to Rest that someday I’d end up working with him, I would have told you that you’re out of your mind.

ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 has been filming for just about a week now, and thanks to the wonders of Facebook, we have our first good look at the title character since his return from the dead following the end of the original Laid to Rest.

During Tuesday night’s raucous Hatchet II premiere at the Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles, writer/director Robert Hall (and this writer’s daytime boss) stopped by to chat with Dread Central on the red carpet to give us an update about what we can look forward to with ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2 and his plans to amp up the kills and the body count for the second installment.

They’re hosting a screening of Hall’s first film Lightning Bug as well as his recent slasher hit Laid to Rest on Saturday, May 9th at the Fine Arts Theater on 8556 Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
