Horror History: Happy Birthday, Lindsey Wallace AKA Kyle Richards

On this day in horror history, Kyle Richards was born in Los Angeles in 1969. Richards is perhaps best known for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

But around these parts we know her for genre classics such as Elliot Silverstein’s The Car, Tobe Hooper’s Eaten Alive, and John Carpenter’s Halloween.

She’s the little sister of her The Car co-star, Kim Richards. You know Kim. She was in all those old Disney Escape to Witch Mountain movies. She was also the little ice-cream girl infamously axed in John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13.

And speaking of Carpenter, Kyle Richards will return as Lindsey Wallace in Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green’s upcoming sequel Halloween Kills.

Richards’s Halloween Kills co-stars include Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Anthony Michael Hall, Dylan Arnold, Robert Longstreet, Charles Cyphers, Nancy Stephens, and James Jude Courtney / Nick Castle as Michael Myers. The MPAA slapped it with an R-rating via the MPAA for strong bloody violence throughout, grisly images, language, and some drug use. Sounds good to us!

Gordon Green directs Halloween Kills and Blum produces. Green wrote the script with Danny McBride and Scott Teems. Carpenter provides the score. It hits on October 15, 2021, with Halloween Ends following on October 14, 2022.
