This Forgotten and “Highly underrated” Kevin Bacon Thriller Is Dominating Netflix

The internet has uncovered a very tense 2002 crime thriller because it is now available on Netflix. So many people were mesmerized by the cast and premise that the movie has broken into the streamer’s Top 10 Charts. Viewers might be hitting play on Trapped for the Kevin Bacon of it all but are sticking around for the plot. Allow me to introduce you to this star-studded gem.

In the film,

“When Will (Stuart Townsend) and Karen (Charlize Theron) Jennings are held hostage, and their daughter is abducted, a relentless plan is set in motion that will challenge everything they took for granted. Joe (Kevin Bacon) and Cheryl (Courtney Love) Hickey, along with their cousin Marvin (Pruitt Taylor Vince), have orchestrated the foolproof plan to extort money from wealthy families. As the plan escalates and unravels, Will and Karen are pushed to the limit to get their daughter back alive.”

Trapped was directed by Luis Mandoki. It was written by Greg Iles and adapted from his book 24 Hours. The film stars Charlize Theron, Kevin Bacon, Courtney Love, Stuart Townsend, Dakota Fanning, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Jay Miracle.

Most viewers are still trying to wrap their heads around this stacked cast. However, many people are discussing Kevin Bacon’s ability to find the creepiest roles in Hollywood.

I love a Kevin Bacon thriller, so I am confused about how this one slipped by me. It is even more shocking because Charlize Theron, Courtney Love, and Dakota Fanning are also in this cast. I should have gotten a national alert or something. So, I have to head to Netflix to watch Trapped immediately.
