Before 30 Days of Night came out, Return to House on Haunted Hill helmer Victor Garcia directed a prequel series to the film called 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails that you could only find on the Comcast On Demand channel Fearnet.

All right, so his name may not mean a lot to you, but Dan’s well known to anyone who visits horror sites with the kind of untamed gusto that true devotees display, as he’s the driving force behind Upcoming Horror Movies, one of the longest running horror sites out there.

Today we received word from filmmakers Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer that their latest horror outing, Brotherhood of Blood, is in its final stages with the sound mix being completed at Herold Studios. "After months of post production, it’s great to see the movie finally on the big screen," said Roesch, who's knee-deep in the final sound mix for the vampire film. Ken Foree, Rachel Grant, Sid Haig, and Jason Connery star.

Since most of you aren’t filmmakers (well, these days who really knows...), I will let you in on a bit of the magic of moviemaking: The score is usually the last thing done on any film, big or small. It only makes sense to get the music to work with the final cut of the film, and usually it’s the final tweak that can make a movie go from "okay" to "wow!"

Though it’s not terribly new, it sure is pretty damn cool. To the right you’ll see the first piece of teaser art for Brotherhood of Blood, the Sid Haig/Ken Foree-starring vampire flick from the directing team of Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer, who also wrote the flick.
