Those of us who watch The CW's "The Vampire Diaries" know that week in and week out its co-showrunners Kevin Williams and Julie Plec bust their asses to make sure the quality stays high. Obviously parent company Warner Bros. TV recognizes that fact also as it has signed a three-year deal with Williamson to not only continue in that capacity but also develop new projects for the studio.
We say it every week, but if you're not watching The CW's "The Vampire Diaries", you are really missing out. Tonight's ep had just the right mix of action, sentiment, and heads rolling with reckless abandon. Which is why we're already looking ahead to next week's "Katerina", and here are both the short and extended promo trailers to make sure you are, too.
For the second year in a row, The CW has announced plans for a special marathon week featuring "The Vampire Diaries". Starting on Monday, December 13, this week-long event offers fans the opportunity to catch up with Season Two of "Diaries" and allows the uninitiated the chance to get into one of TV’s breakout hits. From the Press Release:
Another new recurring character has been added to "The Vampire Diaries": Jules, a friend of Mason Lockwood, who comes to Mystic Falls looking for him, to be played by former "Law & Order: SVU" ADA Michaela McManus.
Finally in the upcoming Episode 9 of "The Vampire Diaries", entitled "Katerina", Katherine's past will be revealed. The CW has provided us with a big batch of stills from the ep, which airs November 11th. Episode 9 "Katerina" Synopsis (11/11/10 Air Date):
Earlier today we got ahold of a couple of preview videos for the eighth episode of "The Vampire Diaries", entitled "Rose", and now we've gotten our hot little hands on a big batch of photos that show off a couple of the ep's guest stars along with those always pensive Salvatore brothers.
Who is Rose and what's her connection to the residents of Mystic Falls? Next Thursday, November 4, fans of "The Vampire Diaries" will find out, but in the meantime maybe the preview clips provided by The CW will give us a clue. They promise "new dangers, new connections and fresh new blood!"
Regular viewers of "The Vampires Diaries" are aware of how quickly things are happening this season, and it looks like we're in for even more mayhem as the November Sweeps approach. Three new guest stars have been announced for the "Rose" and "Katerina" episodes (Nos. 8 and 9, respectively), one of whom should be very familiar to those of us who are also fans of "Supernatural".
It's hard to believe we're already up to Episode 7 of "The Vampire Diaries" this week, entitled "Masquerade", but despite how awesome the show's sophomore season has been already, The CW isn't one to rest on its laurels as they've just provided us with a brief summary of Episode 9 along with some behind-the-scenes shots of "Masquerade" to help whet the fans' appetite even further.
If you saw last night's "The Vampire Diaries", then you know the groundwork is being laid for one hell of a party at the Lockwood estate, which makes sense considering the upcoming Episode 7 is entitled "Masquerade". Read on for a few preview clips and some additional stills from the ep.
"The Vampire Diaries" returns with original episodes next Thursday, October 21st, with "Plan B", and we have a new preview clip from the ep to help get you geared up for it. Episode 6 "Plan B" Synopsis:
In the November 4th episode of "The Vampire Diaries", entitled "Rose", we'll learn some surprising new information along with the Salvatore brothers. While we wait to find out what that might be, thanks to The CW, we have the ep's synopsis along with another look "Inside The Vampire Diaries", this time with costume designer Jennifer Bryan.
We knew it wouldn't take long for The CW to release "The Vampire Diaries" teaser video shown at this year's New York Comic Con, and we've got it right here for you to see along with a few stills from next week's "Plan B" and the following episode (#7), "Masquerade", airing just before Halloween on October 28th.
The 2010 New York Comic Con panel for "The Vampire Diaries" with Sara Canning, Steven R. McQueen, Zach Roerig, Katerina Graham and Executive Producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson ended a short time ago, and we've compiled as much info as we can find about it right here, including a few brief descriptions of the new footage shown from the next two episodes.
With all the info coming in from The CW on "The Vampire Diaries", it's getting hard to keep the episodes straight. So we suppose it's a good thing they're taking a step back on October 14th and airing a rerun of the Season Two premiere. But they'll be back in full force on the 21st, and we have a preview clip from "Plan B", which airs on that date.
