Yesterday we passed along word that Tim Burton’s new Netflix series based on The Addams Family might bring back Christina Ricci. This time as Morticia. And today we have a Deepfake video showcasing what it might look like to see Ricci as Morticia alongside Johnny Depp as Gomez.

Snyder HD explains: “At some point, they are going to go ahead with a new Addams Family TV series or even a new film, and my picks to play Gomez Addams and Morticia are Johnny Depp and (returning alumni from the 90’s films) Christina Ricci.“
Personally, I’m not impressed with how Ricci looks in this Deepfake. Depp is okay. At times. But I’m just not seeing Ricci in this much at all. But that said, maybe you will. In which case, enjoy!
The Illuminerdi reports that the spin-off prequel wants either Jenna Ortega (Scream, The Babysitter: Killer Queen) or Bailee Madison (The Strangers: Prey at Night, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark) to take over the role made famous by Ricci (and many others).
The spin-off will focus on Wednesday’s primitive years at Nevermore Academy.

Burton will serve as executive producer with writers and showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville). MGM TV will finance the series. Wednesday will be the lead of the show which will also be set in the present day.
