In a continuation of our coverage of The Wolfman (see our interview with star Benicio Del Toro here), Dread Central sat down with co-star Anthony Hopkins this past Saturday in Beverly Hills, CA, for the film’s press junket and chatted with him regarding his role in the flick (which opens this Friday, February 12th, via Universal Pictures/Relativity Media).
With The Wolfman right around the corner, director Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park III) has been doing a ton of press to promote the film. But he also took a few moments out to talk a bit about the fourth installment of the Jurassic Park franchise.
Dread Central caught up Saturday with Benicio Del Toro, producer and star of The Wolfman (opening February 12th via Universal Pictures), during a press junket for the flick at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills, CA, to chat with him about the film as well as his long-standing enthusiasm for the genre, the film’s storied production, his love affair with monster model kits, and more.
News about The Wolfman has us excited one second and terrified the next. It seems like for every cause for concern there is an equally exciting reason to rejoice. Today there's more news that falls on the side of good.
With Joe Johnston's The Wolfman just around the corner (finally!) and the director making the promotional rounds to plug the horror remake, he's opening up on some projects in the pipeline - including a new Jurassic Park flick, which could very well be the start of a new trilogy!
Everything was going so well for Universal's big budget remake of The Wolfman. After a promising trailer and its receipt of the much coveted R rating, we were starting to get a good vibe ... until today when reports of two different cuts being readied surfaced. Fortunately that rumor has been dubunked.
And Universal's The Wolfman continues down a bumpy road toward its February 12, 2010, release date. On the editing front Dennis (The Chronicles of Riddick, The Fog-2005 version) Virkler is apparently out, and Mark Goldblatt and Walter Murch are in.
For better or worse, we love the Jurassic Park films. The first one is an absolute classic, the second one is ... well ... the second one, and the third is a guilty pleasure monster movie. So as you can imagine, talk of a fourth entry brought a big smile to our faces.
We’re trying to confirm things as we speak, but there are some rumors flying around right now, starting out at Fangoria, that Universal may be moving the release date for Wolfman from April, 2009, to sometime in the fall.
**UPDATE: Thanks to reader "plastichorror" for pointing out a pic of the toy on Mezco Direct!**
Tristan just got out of The Wolfman panel at Comic Con (lucky bastard) and came back with both good and bad news.
