Few things get me as excited as movies that feature giant monsters wrecking cities. Though the film has taken more than its fair share of criticism, for me Cloverfield delivered on the promise of colossal-sized creature action. Here we are two years removed, and a little video has surfaced over on YouTube (where else?) giving us a taste of what could be the next installment of the franchise.

After a slow start the J.J. Abrams produced series "Fringe" has picked up steam and a hell of a fanbase. Me? I'm still waiting for the cow to get his own spin-off series. But until that happens, we can honestly say the outlook for Season Two is looking pleasantly dark thanks to some genre-fueled guest star power.

Get ready, King faithful. It looks like a big screen adaptation of The Dark Tower may be a little closer than we thought. JJ Abrams recently sat down with both IGN and MTV and slipped in a couple of slivers of Dark Tower-y goodness!

One of my favorite films of last year was without question Cloverfield. It gave me, a huge monster movie fan, everything that I was looking for and, in this crappy cinema climate, needed. This weekend at WonderCon Abrams did a little talking about the franchise's future.

More details have finally come forth for the new show created by JJ Abrams ("Lost", "Alias"), "Fringe". For the longest time all we've known about it is that it deals with a detective forced to team up with a genius who's been institutionalized for the last two decades.

In an interesting move both for network television and viewers in general, Fox announced today that they will be trying a new experiment with two of next season’s more promising shows; the JJ Abrams-creatred “Fringe” and Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse”. Namely, less commercials!

Though it’s not exactly news, since it was mentioned in the first story we did on the show, Variety included Fox’s “pickup” of JJ Abrams’ new show, “Fringe”, in an article today about recent network acquisitions. The show is about an FBI agent working with an institutionalized scientist when a rash of weird shit starts going down. In layman’s terms.

We're still not sure if the monster rampage flick known as Cloverfield (review) will be making a debut on Blu-ray this April 22nd, but we just found out that there will be something else emerging with the regular DVD.

If you're like me, or several other people who saw Cloverfield (review), then you've probably got some questions about the film's monster. What is it? Is it a baby? Were the parasites offspring? What was with the tiny arms on its underbelly? Why did it change size?

The audio on this video sucks, just want to get that out of the way. Whoever was asking J.J Abrams questions at the US-Ireland Alliance Party (?) forgot to make sure her mic was working, so you’ll not be able to hear much of what she’s asking.
