Help Return of the Living Dead’s Jewel Shepard Raise Funds For Her Cancer Treatment

We sadly report, for those who haven’t heard, the unforgettable Jewel Shepard has been diagnosed with breast cancer. And due to limited health insurance coverage, she is forced to raise a considerable sum of money to pay for the treatment. But this is a great opportunity for us to band together as a horror community and help one of our own. And you can get some pretty cool swag out of it, too.
Jewel, best known for her role as Casey in the classic 1985 zombie masterpiece The Return of the Living Dead, has thought up a great way to raise funds to help pay for her cancer treatment. Jewel and the good people at Dark Delicacies have set up a fundraising page where Jewel is selling some great signed photos and artwork of herself. And tell me, in this day and age where zombies have suddenly become the monster of choice, who wouldn’t want a signed photo from the woman who starred in one of the greatest zombie films of all time?
A Message from Jewel Shepard
“I’m selling two great photos of me showing the boobs I don’t have anymore…plus as an added bonus, you’ll get to see that great head of hair I’m losing these days to cancer treatments. As you know, we have a health care crisis in this country…well, I have one in my life. Even with limited insurance, I need to raise a lot of money, and I promise it’ll all go to medication to keep me around. So here’s your chance, guys (or even gals), to buy some naked photos and to help a fellow human being. And men, if your wife or girlfriend finds them, you can just say, “Oh, I was just trying to help this poor lady.” Photos are $20 and shipping will be adjusted to $5. All monies will go to Jewel’s medical bills.
