Downton Abbey’s Jessica Brown Findlay Finds Her Frankenstein

More casting news has come in for 20th Century Fox’s next stab at the classic tale of Frankenstein as Jessica Brown Findlay (“Downton Abbey”) has stitched herself into the flick as the female lead.

She joins the previously announced James McAvoy (Victor Frankenstein) and Daniel Radcliffe (igor).

Paul McGuigan is at the helm of this revisionist take on Mary Shelley’s masterpiece. Based on a script by Max Landis (Chronicle), this adaptation of Shelley’s novel of the same name puts a more sci-fi spin on the classic story about a creature produced through a scientific experiment.

The film is currently slated to arrive in theatres on October 17, 2014.
