Be warned, kids! If you don't want to know what the monster from the upcoming flick Hypothermia looks like, you may just wanna pass over this story and move on to the next.
MonsterPants, the New York-based, do-it-yourself non-studio that brought us such films as Automatons, Satan Hates You, and the upcoming Hypothermia from Glass Eye Pix and Dark Sky Films, is going beyond movies and comics with a new line of handmade limited-run toys and apparel by writer/director/artist James Felix McKenney. Get your credit cards out, kids, because this stuff is very cool!
Get ready to feast your eyes on what's likely to be the best damned trailer we'll see all week. Hell, maybe even all month. We've been talking about Hypothermia for a while. Now we'll let it start talking for itself.
As if trying to survive in a land with sub-zero temperatures wasn't tough enough, what if there was also a creature lurking about looking to do a lot more than just tingle your spine? That's what our protagonists are up against in Hypothermia, and if this latest batch of images is any indication of what's to come, these poor folks are in A LOT of trouble!
Though the weather outside is getting warmer and warmer, let's not forget what a miserable snowbound winter this was, especially for those of you who live up North. In case you needed a reminder, some new images from Hypothermia popped up online that are sure to bring you all kinds of chilly haunted memories.
With all the blizzards happening throughout the country, this is surely both the best and the worst time to be filming a movie called Hypothermia. Some images from the set just surfaced, and damnit, they make us wanna put the heat on!
Ah, Dark Sky Films. How quickly you've endeared yourself to the black hearts of genre fans everywhere! The studio who proudly wears its love for blood on its sleeve has just checked in with an update on its latest film, Hypothermia!
From the Press Release:
The makers of Satan Hates You have thrown us an exclusive behind-the-scenes pic from the film, and uploaded a lot more photographic evidence of the dark lord's feelings towards you for your ocular enjoyment.
Larry Fessenden, the man behind Glass Eye Pix and thusly every single cool genre project out there right now, got chatting with the mutants at
STYD recently and dropped some intel on a trio of projects that fans are patiently waiting for.
Now this is what I call a Christmas celebration! You can keep your four-hour long Mass services and ritualistic chanting; I’m going to hang out with the guys and girls at Glass Eye Pix.
You just had to know a team-up like this would happen eventually; the match is too perfect to ignore. Today it was officially announced that
Dark Sky Films and
Glass Eye Pix would be rejoining forces (their first outing being Ti West’s House of the Devil) for a slate of new horror films.
Director James Felix McKenney is prepping the next film under his MonsterPants banner, a supernatural tale set in a traveling circus called World’s Fair. He just wrapped shooting on Satan Hates You, but just because he has untold months of post-production to worry about on that film, that’s no reason to stop working, right?
Great news, Satan fans! James Felix McKenney just dropped us a line with the news that his fourth feature, Satan Hates You, is officially in the can! The film’s been in various stages of production for a long time now, so I’m sure the crew at MonsterPants Movies and Glass Eye Pix are breathing a sigh of relief today!
It could be one of the best titles in movie history: Satan Hates You, a project that’s been in one stage of production or another for almost four years now. We’ve seen it around here and there, but not until reader “Aaron” dropped us a line telling us to check it out, did I make an effort to really look into it. Glad I did!
