The William Castle Story William Castle Tweet By Uncle Creepy November 29th, 1999 Where has all the showmanship gone? Has it been replaced by viral marketing? One thing's for sure, before the Internet there was a guy in Hollywood who was his own personal marketing machine. His name? William Castle. Whether you know it or not, we all owe a great debt to this under-appreciated horror maestro. It was only a matter of time before someone made a flick about him, and filmmaker Jeffrey Schwarz has done a proper job honoring Castle by producing the incredible documentary Spine Tingler! The William Castle Story (review). Recently fellow Castle aficionado Uncle Creepy caught up with Jeff, and as you can imagine, the results were nothing short of entertaining! This flick is a must-see so make sure you check it out October 10 - 19 at Grauman's Mann Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood, California as part of this year's Screamfest LA film festival!
