We're still waiting for the official synopsis, but in the meantime The CW has released a big batch of photos from the Season 4 premiere of "The Vampire Diaries," entitled "Growing Pains." Check 'em out; our favorites are definitely the ones of Caroline and Tyler/Klaus.

A gallery's worth of promo photos have arrived for Season 4 of "The Vampire Diaries," and we have all of them right here along with a few tidbits of what we can expect when the series returns to The CW on October 11th.

Back in June we got word that "The Vampire Diaries": The Complete Third Season would be hitting Blu-ray and DVD on September 11th, but no specs were available. That has now been remedied.

More Blu-ray/DVD news has come in, this time for Season 3 of "The Vampire Diaries" from Warner Home Video. Unfortunately, Warner inadvertently included specs for the 2nd season rather than the 3rd in its press release so we're still waiting for those, but we do have the artwork.

The Hunger Games and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 are going head-to-head for Teen Choice 2012 Awards, as are their respective stars, but the real battle is taking place in the TV Fantasy/Sci-Fi category, where "The Vampire Diaries" leads the pack with six nominations.

Time for the last "producer's preview" of the season for "The Vampire Diaries". Watch exec producer Julie Plec introduce Episode 3.22, "The Departed", which promises to be a doozy of a season finale, in which - SPOILER ALERT - someone does not survive.
