Here around the Dread Central offices we're always on the lookout for interesting short and/or indie projects so we were more than a little intrigued by the note in our inbox from Steve Daniels touting his Southern Lovecraftian film "Dirt Dauber". Check out the trailer he provided, and see if you agree with us that it seems to hold more than a little promise.

With all the nonsense swirling about on other sites about casting, start dates, etc., it's hard to know exactly what's true and what's not. Do we cover it? Should we cover it? We've consumed a ton of aspirin over the last week as a result. I can tell you that this will be the final mention of Re-Animator 3D here until someone signs a damned contract.

Most of us are fans of the film Re-Animator, and honestly, if you're not, I really have to wonder what the hell you're doing here. Suffice it to say that if the visage of a head giving head doesn't instantly bring a smile to your face, then you should be surfing elsewhere. Well, after countless stories about the next chapter, we finally have some news that seems concrete.

The guys over at IGN just got a first look at a new game that I’m sure will appeal to horror fans, and if it doesn’t ... well, you’re just a poseur then. POSEUR! The game is called NecroVisioN (not sure if that last “N” needs to be capitalized or not, but that’s how they have it…), and it comes to us from The Farm 51st. What is it? Glad you asked!

Though I’d love to tell you guys that Richard Griffin’s Lovecraft sequelization, Beyond the Dunwich Horror, will be available in Best Buys throughout the country very soon, that would be a blatant lie. And I’m trying really hard to stop lying so damn much. But the good news is you can still pick up the film right now with a quick trip to Scorpio Film Releasing!

Lurker Films sent out a press release today outlining the guests and some of the movies that will be a part of the upcoming H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and CthulhuCon in Portland, Oregon. Their Author Guest of Honor is Brian Lumley (The House of Cthulhu), and Mike Mignola is the Artist Guest of Honor.

David, a reader with some sharp eyes, pointed out to us that the official website for Dan Gildark's popular Cthulhu (review) is going to be playing throughout a good portion of the U.S. this month and next.
