Outlander DVD Landing in November

Despite an impassioned plea by AICN's Moriarty several weeks back for Harvey Weinstein to give Howard McCain's vikings vs. an alien creature feature Outlander a wide theatrical release it looks likes that plea fell on deaf ears (or should I say deaf eyes?) and the film will be getting dumped onto DVD in November.

Outlander's Second Trailer Crashes to Earth

Outlander is probably the most unexpected release of 2008. The concept of an evil alien being battled by Vikings and another (good) alien may sound pretty strange, but somehow it looks like Howard McCain is making it work.

Outlander Trailer Lands!

Our friends over at Quiet Earth pointed us in the direction of the first trailer for Outlander, the sci-fi/horror flick by Howard McCain. A spacecraft has crashed on Earth in the year 709 AD, and the monster it is carrying has been unleashed on the population of Norway. Vikings don't take kindly to this invader!

Outlander Poster Found!

Man it has been a long time since I’ve mentioned the Vikings vs. Monster movie Outlander on Dread Central! Apparently all sorts of things have been going on with it, usual movie making confusions, but finally a sign that we might get to see it soon showed up today.

Behind the Outlander

Nothing sucks worse than the last hour of work on a Friday, let me tell you. I try to spend as much of that time as I can doing as little work as possible, and today it paid off pretty well for you guys!

Outlander Pits Jesus Vs. Monster

The first chunk of casting for the upcoming monster/sci fi/Viking epic Outlander has taken place, and as I always predicted would happen, Jesus has stolen the role. Specifically, Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in Mel Gibson’s gore film The Passion of the Christ, is in talks to take the lead role in the Weinstein Co. flick, which is set to roll next month in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Wow, how many movies do you hear about being made in Newfoundland? Weird.

Vikings Vs. Monsters!

Now here’s something a bit different; a monster movie set during the age of Vikings. That’s a new one on me, but I’ll go along for the ride. The film is called Outlander, and is getting ready to start up its ten weeks of principal photography on October 9th in and around Halifax, British Columbia, according to Production Weekly.
