TCA: The CW on Supernatural Season 9; More about The Originals, The Selection, Cult, and Battle Royale
It was The CW's turn to shine at the Television Critics Association's winter 2013 session today, and president Mark Pedowitz touched on all the network's shows that are of interest to genre fans, including a possible ninth season of "Supernatural." Read on for the highlights.
News on the TV project from John Logan and Sam Mendes, who worked together on Skyfall, came out of Showtime's TCA presentation: The show will be called "Penny Dreadful," and it will begin production in London in the second half of 2013.
During today's Television Critics Assoc preview event, Showtime announced "Dexter" is splitting off from its current partner, "Homeland," and premiering early - in the summer to be exact - but refused to confirm that "Dexter" will, in fact, end after its eight season.
BBC America has rolled out another "getting to know you" video for "Ripper Street" - spend some time with Adam Rothenberg, who portrays Captain Homer Jackson on the show. He's a "jack-of-all-trades on the darker side of the spectrum," a "catch-all of old iconic American imagery."
