The votes are in, and we couldn't be happier to report that Darin Scott's Dark House is the winner of the Fangoria FrightFest film competition and will receive a theatrical release!

If you haven't done so already, you need to make your voice heard as there are eight indie filmmakers out there who are depending on you to allow them to give you the goods! It only takes a second, people. We need to spread the red as much as possible.

With voting officially starting today, the cover art for all eight films entered into the Fangoria FrightFest film competition has landed with a splat in our mailboxes, and we've gotta say some of them are real winners. Ready for a little art-based terror?

I'm really pulling for Fangoria Magazine these days. Chalk it up to childhood nostalgia if you want, but some of my earliest genre memories were peeling through the pages of Fango and being absolutely mesmerized by what I saw.

Ah, Halloween! It's like Christmas for the horror fan, only you've got to run out and buy all the goodies yourself. And so many damn titles are released in the September/October window that you often find yourself turning tricks or performing favors just to keep up with it all. At least I do.
