Horror Convention
That's right, all you West Coast monster fans! The date is set, and the roster of celebrities is already looking like a who's who of horror! The next Monsterpalooza: The Art of Monsters will be held April 13th-15th, 2012, at the Marriott Burbank Convention Center in Burbank, California. You have been warned!
The minutes are ticking away until the 8th Annual Rock and Shock in Worcester, Massachusetts, and updates are starting to come fast and furiously (like an angry greyhound in heat). The festival is scheduled for October 14-16, and we've gotten word of two more guests being added to the already impressive list as well as a world premiere film. Read on, New Englanders. Like having the Red Sox and Patriots dominating their respective sports isn't enough. Now you get the most kickass horror convention in the Northeast as well. Well played, Worcester. Well played.
One of the East Coast's premier horror festivals, Rock and Shock, has announced its official ticket release date as well as some major musical acts that will be performing at the event. And you can bet your ass these guys will fit in perfectly at Rock and Shock.
The Rock and Shock Horror Festival, scheduled for October 14th-16th in Worcester, Massachusetts, already has an impressive list of celebrity guests, but today they added one of the most famous zombies in the history of the genre.
Previously we mentioned the fact that Screamfest LA Horror Film Festival 2011 has put out its last call for entries. Well, let's say you're a filmmaker, but California isn't exactly your scene. Maybe you kissed a girl and you liked it, but California Girls aren't exactly your thing. If you're more an East Coast-minded individual, well, we've got something for you, too.
Rock and Shock 2011 may still be four months away, but the guest list is already taking shape quite nicely. As always, it's one hell of a delightful convention - especially for those of us in or around the Massachusetts area. About time we have something awesome happening in our neck of the woods.
Robert Kirkman, the Eisner Award-winning creator of The Walking Dead and Invincible, is the first guest to be announced for this year’s New York Comic Con, which will take place at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City from Thursday, October 13–Sunday, October 16, 2011.
ReedPOP, organizer of the New York Comic Con, announced that the 2011 NYCC will be expanded to four days, which means more hours and opportunities for fans to interact with their heroes throughout the popular culture universe and allow expansion of the Cultyard and New York Anime Festival -- two shows-within-the-show -- which serve the burgeoning indie toy and anime/manga communities.
Hurry up, kids! Through the wonders of bootlegging you can now see the killer footage shown from Frank Darabont's "The Walking Dead" RIGHT NOW! Get it while it's hot!
With The Room director Tommy Wiseau both baffled and entertained audiences alike with his, shall we say, unique style of filmmaking. Now, just a few years later, the man is back with another tale of ... aw hell, we don't know. Screw it, though, get ready to dig on the teaser trailer for his latest project anyway!
So a few days ago Piranha disappeared quietly off of the San Diego mega event's schedule. Everyone has been pretty quiet as to why, but now it seems as if the reason is that there may have been too much boobs and blood in the water.
A new promotional Comic-Con one-sheet for Frank Darabont's adaptation of the Robert Kirkman zombie epic "The Walking Dead" has debuted online and we have every stiffened pixel for you right here!
Now that the programming for all four days of the beast known as the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con is live on the show's official site, we've gone back and tweaked the
daily schedules already posted here on DC. Most are minor additions or moves, but of considerable note are the disappearance of Piranha 3D from the Friday panels and the overall absence of Dimension Films.
Although Sundays are known as "Kids' Day" at the San Diego Comic-Con, there's still enough horror oriented content being offered on the final day of the 2010 show to keep fans sticking around "America's Finest City" for at least one more go-around our massive Convention Center.
Thankfully for those of who will be running ourselves ragged on Friday, July 23rd, covering all the horror-related events at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con, the genre-centric fare on Saturday, the 24th, is a bit lighter. But what there is should bring out the fans in droves.
