I’m writing my inaugural Dread Central blog right after seeing the remake of Friday the 13th, which has stirred my love of the horror genre in unpredicted ways. I’m not committed to the whole slasher genre, even though when the original F13 came to cable I was about thirteen myself, which I still think of as the perfect age for that stuff.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard much about the forthcoming video game Hellboy: Science of Evil, so how’s about an update for you? And this time it’s coming from Butane, not that Plagiarize kid, cause that’s just how I roll, suckas. First up we got a stack of new screenshots from the game, which you can check out below. If there's one thing I wish stores like Target and such would carry more of, it'd be Hellboy stuff. I guess everyone's afraid that junior may see the word "Hell" and start saying it around the house, but parents are cool with those little prosti-tot dolls called Bratz...

Who couldn't love the first Hellboy movie? Ron Perlman was perfect in the make-up, and the effects got me caught up in the moment. After all that my mind went on a rampage trying to think of all the cool stuff (nerdy fanboy wishes) in the "Hellboy" comics that would be in the next installment. One of my visions actually came to fruition...

Ron Perlman has certainly embraced his role as the once and future Hellboy, lending his vocal talents to two animated films about Big Red as well as the upcoming video game Hellboy: The Science of Evil, which has been in development for seemingly ever now.

With the second animated movie set to premiere this weekend on The Cartoon Network, now is as good a time as any to sit down and chat with Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman. The LA Times did just that and found out that his next turn as Big Red will be on us before he likely knows it.
