Haunted Attraction

It's quickly approaching. Before you know it, the manufactured day of needless spending will be upon us to celebrate all that we love in life. Except of course saving cash, but still... Our significant others are worth that and more!

Halloween is nearly upon us, and it seems like everywhere you turn someone is hosting a haunted house, hayride, steamboat or some other attraction. The weak of heart can always look forward to the fact that the Halloween season is only about a month long and they can return to life as usual on November 1st. Well, New Yorkers, a new tenant has moved in, and they're planning on scaring the pants off you all year long.

When it comes to haunted houses, I'm like a crack fiend who can't get enough so it should come as no surprise that I'm a huge fan of Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights. I've been coming out to Horror Nights for the past four years, even before I made the move to California, because when it comes to the "fright business," no one can beat the efforts of HHN Creative Director John Murdy and his entire team that collaborates year-round in order to put on the best haunts that money can buy every Halloween season.

As a full-blown haunted attraction junkie, I've spent years covering every October-themed event Los Angeles has to offer. One of the best of the bunch was last year's "LA Haunted Hayride", and the twisted minds behind it are returning with an attraction that, truth be told, even I'm a little scared to go on.
