Orphanage Director Gets Hater Gig
Good news today for those of you waiting for more information on the Guillermo del Toro-produced adaptation of David Moody’s novel Hater; Universal has brought on The Orphanage helmer Juan Antonio Bayona to direct the film, according to Variety.

Del Toro Booked for Next Nine Years
An article in this morning’s Variety lays out all the projects Guillermo del Toro is attached to between now and 2017(!). Aside from the five years he’s set aside for The Hobbit, Universal has some huge plans for his post-Tolkien work. Doesn’t look like he’ll be making any small, Pan’s Labyrinth-sized films anytime soon.

Del Toro & Uni Move on Hater
This morning it’s been officially confirmed via Variety that Universal has picked up David Moody’s 2006 novel Hater for film adaptation. Originally this was one of the many projects Guillermo del Toro was attached to direct before that little movie about hobbits took over his life.
