Halo-8 Entertainment
Fans of Halo-8 Entertainment's popular and critically acclaimed Godkiller franchise will be thrilled to hear the newest offering from the storyline, Godkiller: Tomorrow's Ashes (a digital comics mini-series), is set to debut... and pre-sales have just begun. And as can be expected from Halo-8, a unique release model has been developed for the project.
During Halo-8's San Diego Comic-Con panel, the actress who will be playing Cassie Hack in their Hack/Slash illustrated film was introduced, and we couldn't be more pleased to inform you that it is genre favorite Brea Grant.
When we posted our
schedule for Day 3 of San Diego Comic-Con, one item caught our eye that might, however, have slipped by yours so we thought we'd do a separate story bringing it to your attention: During the Halo-8 panel on that day, the actress playing Cassie Hack in the Hack/Slash illustrated film will be introduced!
By the time Saturday rolls around during the San Diego Comic-Con, we've separated the men from the boys and know who's in it for the long haul. This year Saturday is chock-full of horror offerings throughout the entire day so if you'll be there, make sure to drink plenty of coffee, wear comfortable shoes, and be ready to hoof it from one end of the convention center to the other!
Halo-8 Entertainment announced today that its sci-fi/horror adventure Godkiller and Giallo-style horror The Long Knives are the first Halo-8 comics to be released digitally as part of the recently announced partnership between the studio and innovative digital comics provider Graphic.ly. Read on for the details!
From the Press Release:
Fans of the illustrated film Godkiller should be happy to hear that Godkiller 2: Tomorrow's Ashes is on its way. As we learned from
@GodkillerSeries on Twitter, production on the sequel "has officially begun"!
It was back in April of this year that we got the first word on Black Sky, the new project Ben Templesmith has teamed up with Halo-8 Entertainment to create, and finally today the illustrated film's teaser has hit online.
More news coming out of the New York Comic Con, this time involving comic/illustrated film pioneers Halo-8, who are joining forces with Graphic.ly Inc. for digital distribution of Halo-8's comic books. If you're at the Con and want to learn more, you can stop by Graphic.ly's booth, where Halo-8's Matt Pizzolo and actress Nicki Clyne are appearing on Saturday, October 9th.
While sadly there's still no real news concerning the feature film version of Tim Seeley's Hack/Slash, fans can look forward another adaptation that's on its way!
From the Press Release
The road from concept to comic to DVD/Blu-ray has been a long, rocky one for the illustrated film Godkiller, mainly because demand has been so high that Halo-8 Entertainment simply hasn't been able to keep up. To make up for the postponement of the Blu-ray release to a still yet to be determined date, company President Matt Pizzolo (who also wrote and directed the film) has announced that purchasers of the standard-def DVD will be entitled to a free Godkiller Blu-ray.
During Halo-8 Entertainment's Saturday night panel "Illustrated Films & Comics" at the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con, writer/director Matt Pizzolo made the announcement that breakout hit comic book and illustrated film Godkiller is making the leap to franchise status with the production of a spin-off series, Godkiller: Adventures in Outer City.
As we reported previously, Halo-8 has taken Matt Pizzolo's "illustrated film" Godkiller on the road via its own You-Demand-It Theatrical Tour, and if you live in or around the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area, you could win a pair of tickets to the June 4th screening.
Halo-8 and Matt Pizzolo's "illustrated film" Godkiller has added eight cities to its You-Demand-It Theatrical Tour, and in addition word has come down from their VOD partner, Gravitas Ventures, that 19 of the 20 major cable VOD providers have selected the film for their summer programming, ensuring it will be available in over 75 million homes starting May 25th.
If, like most of us here in the Dread Central offices, you were a bit disappointed in the portrayal of Medusa in the latest version of Clash of the Titans, you should be pretty pleased to hear about an upcoming project from Halo-8's Matt Pizzolo entitled Medusa: Year One.
As we reported previously, Halo-8's full feature length version of Matt Pizzolo's "illustrated film" Godkiller: Walk Among Us will premiere at Chicago's C2E2 on April 16 following the company's panel at the show, and now comes word on who exactly will be participating in said panel.
