Jamie Lee Curtis Did HALLOWEEN: H20 For the Paycheck

This Halloween we will see the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode in Blumhouse’s new Halloween film co-written by Danny McBride and directed by David Gordon Green. But we all remember director Steve Miner’s Halloween H20, right?

Well, it turns out John Carpenter and Debra Hill were originally supposed to be involved, but ultimately passed on the project. And Curtis wasn’t happy after that.

‘H20’ started out with best intentions, but it ended up being a money gig,” Curtis told Variety. “The film had some good things in it. It talked about alcoholism and trauma, but I ended up really doing it for the paycheck.”

Ouch. Tell it like it is, Jamie Lee. What did YOU think of Steve Miner’s Halloween H20? Make sure to hit us up and let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram!

Synopsis:

Two decades after surviving a massacre on October 31, 1978, former babysitter Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) finds herself hunted by persistent knife-wielder Michael Myers. Laurie now lives in Northern California under an assumed name, where she works as the headmistress of a private school. But it’s not far enough to escape Myers, who soon discovers her whereabouts. As Halloween descends upon Laurie’s peaceful community, a feeling of dread weighs upon her — with good reason.
