Exclusive: Patrick Lussier Confirmed to Direct Halloween 3D

After weeks of speculation we can now confidently report that the person taking over the reins of the Halloween franchise will be none other than Patrick Lussier, director of My Bloody Valentine 3D.

From Steve Miner to Alex Aja to My Bloody Valentine helmer Patrick Lussier. While all of these makes sense, it seems that Lussier's name is packing the heaviest punch.

In what seems like a reaction to Halloween II coming in third at the box office this weekend, Bob Weinstein has announced to the LA Times that a new sequel is already on the way. One that is free of Rob Zombie and to be shot in 3D.
