SDCC 08: Future Full for Hack/Slash

Checking in from Comic Con this time with us is our diligent webmaster, Condit, also known as valuerocker. He sat in on a Hack/Slash presentation done by Devil's Due and has returned with some very cool news about the future of the comic and the long-gestating film.

Cassie Hack Vs. Herbert West Panels!

We just got a heads up that Comic Book Resources posted a whole slew of panel artwork from the upcoming Re-Animator / Hack/Slash crossover that’s due out in a few months. Click on the teaser image below to see all the panels (you’ll have to scroll almost to the bottom of the page). We’ll have more on the Devil's Due crossover as its debut approaches!

Seeley & Yuzna Talk Hack/Re-Animator Crossover

When it was initially announced that Herbert West would be finding his way into the Hack/Slash come the series' 15th issue, I thought it brilliant. Recently Newsarama sat down with Brian Yuzna, director of the last two films and the man who effectively owns the rights to the West character, and Hack/Slash creator Tim Seeley to discuss why this crossover just make so much sense.

    Dr. West Vs. Cassie Hack!

It’s not the good news we’ve been waiting for, that Jeffrey Combs will be putting on his labcoat again and jumping back into the role of Dr. Herbert West, but it’s still pretty damn cool nonetheless.

    Hack/Slash Gets a Writer

Finally, some Hack/Slash movement we can report on! I’m sick that it’s been so many years for this project to get moving, but I guess it’s a case of all good things coming to those who wait.

    Lincoln Talks Hack/Slash

Finally, someone is out there talking about the long-promised comic book adaptation of Hack/Slash, set to be directed by Todd Lincoln.

Hack/Slash: Comic Book Carnage (Comic Book)

Hack/Slash: Girls Gone Dead (Comic Book)

Temptation doesn't run any hotter than in Florida (well, except for maybe in L.A.). Bare flesh is basking in the UV rays all along the state's coast and during Spring Break there's mucho sin to spare. This is the unusual backdrop Tim Seeley sets his sophomore entry in the Hack/Slash series against, but truthfully it's not so odd when you realize that Spring Break is fertile breeding ground for slasher activity!
