Rest in Peace: Luke Perry, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and THE TRIANGLE, Dead at 52

Tragic news to report as actor Luke Perry, who was recently hospitalized after suffering a massive stroke, has died at the age of 52, per CNN.

Perry’s publicist Arnold Robinson released a statement saying, “He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancĂ© Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”

While most prominently known for his role in the TV series 90210, many horror fans grew up watching him in 1992’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the feature film that was the precursor to the beloved television series. Perry also starred in the 2001 TV thriller The Triangle, 2009’s Silent Venom, and he voiced Brom Bones in the 1999 animated special The Night of the Headless Horseman. Recently, Perry could be seen in the Archie-inspired series Riverdale, where he played the father of Archie.

We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends in this incredibly sad time.
