del Toro, Guillermo (Pan’s Labyrinth) Audio

Though some would say that films like Blade 2 and Hellboy aren’t the best examples of the man’s work, no one would argue that The Devil’s Backbone is a beautifully made film made about a dark time in Spain’s history. With his latest offering, Pan’s Labyrinth, creator Guillermo del Toro returns to the same time frame and in doing so has created what is likely his masterwork.

The perfect dark fairy tale, Pan’s is a far cry from the big Hollywood films most people may know him for, and will hopefully help those who see it develop a new appreciation for one of the most visionary filmmakers working today. We also dig him cause he’s a big geek.

Sean Clark wrapped up his series of round table interviews (listen to the Doug Jones chat here and the Ivana Baquero chat here) by talking with the man himself. Click here or on the graphic below to give it a listen!
