William Lustig's 1980 slasher classic Maniac is a hard film to watch. Not because it's bad but because it just makes you feel so damned dirty. This is due to the stellar performance given by the late Joe Spinell, who really amped up the sleaze along with the terror.
We learned last month that filming of Alexandre Aja's 3D take on the classic (to some of us) Piranha wouldn't be taking place until weather conditions permitted, and it looks like spring has sprung!
Fans who are waiting patiently for the next cool 3D remake are sadly going to have to wait a lot longer as Dimension Films announced today that they have bumped the release date of Alexandre Aja's Piranha 3D all the way to March 19, 2010.
Now that Alexandre Aja is done playing with mirrors, he's ready to get back to the business of skin shredding mayhem! Aja has reteamed with writing partner Grégory Levasseur to bring us Piranha 3D for The Weinstein Company.
