A Gold Mine of Terror Unearthed in Gold RushIt’s been a long while since last we talked to you about the indie film Gold Rush, but alas! The film is nearly complete, and on tap right now we have the trailer and more!

From the Press Release
Post-production for the supernatural thriller Gold Rush is near completion. Directed by Debbie Bledsoe, terror strikes in the heart of Gold Rush Country, Northern California, when a team of modern-day paranormal experts investigate an evil presence at a collector’s estate filled with antiques from a gold mining ghost town.

The location of the film is, according to paranormal experts, authentically haunted. It’s a private property with preserved artifacts from the Gold Rush era.

“There’s no need to pretend it’s eerie here with all the dangerous mining tools: axes, picks, drills, and creepy sledgehammers. There’s real history here,” said director Debbie Bledsoe. “The poker table has bullet holes. It was a rough time, and you can feel it.”

The Travel Channel show “Ghost Adventures” recently covered how locals believe the ghosts of deceased gold miners haunt the entire Gold Country area. “It definitely feels haunted,” said Bledsoe, “and to top it off, we’re by 40 acres of wilderness so we’re literally cut off from civilization just like our characters.”

The majority of the film was shot in one weekend with Bledsoe opting to shoot with four cameras simultaneously to complete the shoot four times as fast.

Bledsoe also stars in the film alongside actress on the rise Kristen DeLuca (“Femme Fatales”) and a team of fresh faces: Michael Buonomo, Valerie Lucas, Michael John Lane, Lydia Castro, William Mark McCullough, Desmon Heck, Maria Picaso, Caroline Beilskis, and Angel Oquendo.
