I have to admit, as well-read as I am, I had no idea that there was an entire sauna culture in Finland. Apparently it is a no-zone between Christianity and Paganism, where sins can be easily washed away.
Sick of remakes as much as we are? God, I hope so. For that reason alone we’re looking forward to Eric Red’s 100 Feet. The story helps a lot as well; yeah, this one can’t come soon enough.
The lead role for Wes Craven’s return to horror, the awkwardly titled 25/8, has been recast according to The Hollywood Reporter this morning.

In a Variety story this morning about a new comedy script being optioned called Underage, it was officially announced that the upcoming remake of the Korean smash A Tale of Two Sisters is now being called The Uninvited.

Brett Sullivan, whom we last saw directing Ginger Snaps II (review), is back at the helm of a new movie titled The Chair. Last year it was making the rounds at Montreal’s World Film Festival and Lionsgate must have liked it.
A brand new promo reel for Eric Red’s 100 Feet, which stars Famke Jensen as a woman sentenced to house arrest after killing her husband, unaware that his vengeful ghost is haunting the place, has shown up over at Arrow in the Head! I really can’t wait for this one, and this trailer only cements that anticipation. This sucker looks like it’s going to rock!

The direct-to-DVD sequel Return to House on Haunted Hill touted itself as being the first “choose your own adventure” horror movie. All well and good when you’ve got a Warner Bros.-sized budget, but we just learned about a kid who decided to do one on his own likely before Return was even discussed.
It’s being reported this morning via Upcoming Film Scores that a slew of new sci-fi/horror movies are finally settling on composers, and since this is the first time I’ve heard mention of the upcoming Tale of Two Sisters remake (pictured) in quite a while, it’s worth a mention as it’s a very good sign that the film is nearly done. How good it will be still remains to be seen.
