All this Ghostbusters 3 news is just gettin' me giddy, man! We knew all the original Busters we're coming back for more, but according to an interview with Entertainment Weekly Rick Moranis will be back in slime too!

Ramis Talks New Ghostbusters

Amidst all the talk about the next installment in the Ghostbusters saga, it's hard to know what's what, who's in, who's out, and generally just what the hell is going on. All we know for a fact is that there's a script being penned by the two writer/producers of "The Office" -- Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Hungry for an update? How about one from Harold Ramis himself?

It’s a small thing, but at this point we’ll take any updates we can get regarding Ghostbusters 3, which has gone from wild rumor to solid fact in the course of a few short months.

Weaver Not Back for Ghostbusters 3?

It’s funny; all the reporting we did about a return to the Ghostbusters series, the news that all four of the original cast members would return for a third movie and our overwhelming excitement for it all, I don’t remember it ever being mentioned if Sigourney Weaver would have a place in the new installment.

Murray Comments on Ghostbusters 3

Bill Murray made a surprise guest appearance at Fantastic Fest in Austin last week, and during the Q&A someone had the nerve to ask about Ghostbusters 3. Since he’s not quite as vocal about the series as Ramis or Aykroyd have been, hearing his comments on it pretty much solidified the whole thing for me.

    *UPDATE*: Ghostbusters 3 a Go?!?

    Never mind "rumors"; Variety reports that Columbia Pictures have hired "The Office" co-executive producers, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, to write a script for a third film designed to bring back together the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson.
