Finally, after months of speculation and "news" that turned out to be just rumors and wishful thinking, the long-awaited third installment in the much beloved Ghostbusters franchise is moving forward with a director in place and confirmation that plans are to start shooting it this year.
It's that time of the week again. You know it well by now. Yep, some new "news" has broken about Ghostbusters 3 that further teases hopeful fans.
It was only a matter of time before someone confronted Sigourney Weaver about her loose-lipped Ghostbusters 3 activity. So, what gives? Is Murray a ghost or not?
While out promoting Avatar, Sigourney Weaver dropped some fairly big spoilers concerning the eternally upcoming Ghostbusters 3. Looks like one buster will be spending most of his screen time on the other side!
Yet more chatter has surfaced from Harold Ramis talking all things Ghostbusters, including the proposed third film. Thankfully it's in video form so I don't have to transcribe the same old stuff he's been saying for the past several months once again.
It’s getting to be that you can’t log onto a movie website these days without catching a tiny update on Ghostbusters III. In fact, with the exception of Rob Zombie’s H2, is there any other movie featured as prominently on websites across the cyber landscape as the upcoming third go ‘round for everyone’s favorite ghost cops?
It seems as if not a week goes by without some type of speculation regarding the sequel everyone is clamoring for -- Ghostbusters 3. Frankly, everything that has come out thus far has been just a lot of talk, and today we have a great new maybe for you to dig on.
I’m honestly not sure how I feel about the new Ghostbusters movie on the horizon. It’s great to hear that most of the original cast has agreed to come back for a reunion, but it’s all this talk of “new recruits” that’s got me more than a little nervous. I’m not so sure I want to spend the majority of a long-awaited third film with a “hip” new cast, although I suppose if it’s the only way we’re going to see these guys again, then what the hell …
A third Ghostbusters movie has been speculated about, rumored about, talked about for years. To hear Dan Aykroyd talk, rumor may finally becoming reality and ghosts may be getting busted once more come Christmas.
All this Ghostbusters 3 news is just gettin' me giddy, man! We knew all the original Busters we're coming back for more, but according to an interview with Entertainment Weekly Rick Moranis will be back in slime too!
Amidst all the talk about the next installment in the Ghostbusters saga, it's hard to know what's what, who's in, who's out, and generally just what the hell is going on. All we know for a fact is that there's a script being penned by the two writer/producers of "The Office" -- Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Hungry for an update? How about one from Harold Ramis himself?
It’s a small thing, but at this point we’ll take any updates we can get regarding Ghostbusters 3, which has gone from wild rumor to solid fact in the course of a few short months.
It’s funny; all the reporting we did about a return to the Ghostbusters series, the news that all four of the original cast members would return for a third movie and our overwhelming excitement for it all, I don’t remember it ever being mentioned if Sigourney Weaver would have a place in the new installment.
Every now and again news comes along that brings a smile to my face. Genre legend and still smokin' hot Sigourney Weaver has been doing a little talking lately about two projects that are near and dear to every horror fan's heart: Ghostbusters 3 and Alien 5!
Bill Murray made a surprise guest appearance at Fantastic Fest in Austin last week, and during the Q&A someone had the nerve to ask about Ghostbusters 3. Since he’s not quite as vocal about the series as Ramis or Aykroyd have been, hearing his comments on it pretty much solidified the whole thing for me.
