Gale Harold Signs on for the Secret Circle Pilot

We’re starting to need a scorecard to keep track of all the characters announced thus far in Kevin Williamson’s new pilot for The CW, “Secret Circle”. Today came word that a father figure has been added to the mix, who will be portrayed by Gale Harold.
“Secret Circle” centers on Cassie (Brittany Robertson), a California teen who moves to her mom’s hometown of New Salem and discovers that she is a witch and part of a secret coven. She’s also the key that will unlock a centuries-old battle of good versus evil. Joining Harold and Robertson in the show are Natasha Henstridge, Louis Hunter, Shelley Hennig, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Phoebe Tonkin, and Thomas Dekker.
According to Deadline Harold, best known for “Desperate Housewives” and the current CW project “Hellcats”, will play Thomas Meade, the father of Diane, the head of the witch circle and Cassie’s friend.
Williamson is penning the script and serving as an executive producer on the project, which has emerged as a strong contender for a pickup. The pilot episode will be directed by Liz Friedlander.
