Fright Night Film Fest
"Ghost Trek" can best be described as "Reno 911" meets "Ghost Hunters", and the show's gang of misfits are out to prove that they're the funniest bunch of paranormal researchers since Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz and Egon Spengler. Those of you lucky enough to be in the Louisville area of the Bluegrass State on Saturday, July 23rd, will get your chance to have a sneak peek at the pilot!
You just have to love a film that bills itself "Part 2" when there was never a "Part 1" for it to follow! Such is the case of Mangrove Slasher Pt. 2 from Faced Productions, "a stoner horror movie spoof that opens with a topless hot-tub fantasy and indulges every genre cliche on the B-movie shelves."
Things are coming full circle for director Jeff Chitty's The Taking of Savannah. The film's trailer debuted at last year's Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Kentucky, and over the upcoming weekend of July 22nd-24th, the film itself will premiere at the very same event!
Unfortunately, his efforts to debut Tales of an Ancient Empire during the recently concluded San Diego Comic-Con didn't pan out, but that hasn't stopped director Albert Pyun from coming up with Plan B. This weekend, on Saturday, July 31st to be exact, the film will have its world premiere at Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, Kentucky.
Producer/director Jeff Chitty's The Taking of Savannah is now in post-production, which means it's time for some early artwork for the film, and we've got your first look at two different versions of the debut poster -- one "safe" and one that you may not want your co-workers or kids to see.
The full schedule for Fright Night Film Fest, which runs July 30th-August 1st in Louisville, Kentucky, isn't quite finalized yet, but we did hear from producer/director Jeff Chitty that the trailer for his current project, The Taking of Savannah, will be having its world premiere there. Synopsis:
Growing up in the South, I never saw horror fests or film fests anywhere near me. But nowadays the lucky folks in Louisville, Kentucky, have the Fright Night Film Fest to enjoy.
