E3 2016: Injustice 2 Announcement Trailer Unleashes a Monster in the Night

Batman v Superman might not have been the huge financial success that Warner Bros. was hoping for, grossing a disappointing $872 million worldwide, but Mortal Kombat veteran NetherRealm Studios has been hard at work on developing Injustice 2, which should at least help to cheer up the fans.
Returning to the alternate timeline of the first game, in which Superman finally loses his shit and kills the Joker before proclaiming himself to be the ruler of Earth, the sequel sees many of the characters from the original making a comeback, with Mortal Kombat creator and NetherRealm creative director Ed Boon asking fans on Twitter which newcomers they’d like to see show up. I want Swamp Thing to be in this game, dammit!
