When word broke that the writers of AMC's "The Walking Dead" were let go a few months back, fans started becoming increasingly more and more nervous. Well not to worry, folks, a new staff has been acquired and everything is very much on track.

And the video goods for AMC's "The Walking Dead" keep coming. On tap today we have two inside looks at the series: "Directing Zombies" with Episode Two ("Guts") director Michelle MacLaren and "A Look Ahead" at Season Two with the cast and creators.

The short, six-episode first season of "The Walking Dead" may have come to a dramatic close last weekend, but that's not stopping AMC from doling out more goods to fans of the show, and up next we have a Q&A with Noah Emmerich (Dr. Edwin Jenner).

In what should come as a surprise to no one, AMC's freshman series "The Walking Dead" has scored an award nomination (its first of many we're sure!) from the Writers Guild of America, as has one of our other favorite genre TV shows, Showtime's "Dexter". In addition, ABC's "Lost" nabbed a nomination in the Episodic Drama category. From the Press Release:

Talk about going out with a bang! AMC's "The Walking Dead" delivered a head shot across all fifty states in terms of ratings for its finale, and it's safe to say that horror is very much the flavor of the day for TV execs!

And that's a wrap for Season One of AMC's "The Walking Dead". Although it only consisted of six episodes, it packed a powerful punch, and fans are already anticipating the direction in which the series will go come October of 2011. Possibly to France?
