Allow me to be crystal clear: At Dread Central it doesn’t matter if you’re white, black, purple, straight, gay, Republican, Democrat, Christian, Muslim, whatever. There are only two kinds of people in this world – assholes and cool people. Fox Business News anchor Stuart Varney is an asshole.
Recently video game developer Erin Reynolds was on his show “Varney & Co.” to talk about her upcoming videogame Nevermind, the acclaimed biofeedback horror adventure game that gets more challenging as you get scared, honing your ability to manage anxiety.
Basically how the game works is that the more scared you get, the scarier the world gets. If you suffer from anxiety disorder, you know exactly just how scary that can be. Hell, even if you don’t, when your heart’s racing and you’re frightened, making decisions is not easy. Reynolds is creating Nevermind as a means to both have fun and learn to manage stress. That’s some pretty groundbreaking and interesting stuff there.
Unfortunately Varney didn’t see it that way and was a complete tool to Erin, who handled his ridicule like a pro. See the video below for yourself. Congrats, Stuart Varney; you’re the first inductee in the Dread Central Asshole of the Month Club.
