Anyone else into this show? I was very into it when it was on the air... Even more bummed when they took it off. I did buy the series DVD and I'm very happy with it. Behind the Scenes stuff and the rest of the season (series) that didn't get to air. Just wondered if there were other fans out there.

I liked the original Night Stalker and the two movies it was based on. I didn't care much for the remake.

I'm a big fan of Kolchak.

I'm a big fan of the original, but not of this remake. This was Fauxchak, not Kolchak.

The remake was awful. I watched one episode and was so bored that I couldn't watch any more of them. The original series is where it is at.

I was pretty much unimpressed with the pilot episode, so I had no interest in seeing the rest of the series. It's a good thing to, when I read that ABC didn't want any monsters in the new series I'm glad I didn't waste my time.

not sure what ABC meant by no monsters. There were some. I haven't seen the original series but have heard enough good things about it to it a look.

I watched one episode and it screamed "ersatz X-Files." I'm with most everyone here: I prefer the original Kolchak.

BTW, worthless trivia time: The name Kolchak translates from the Russian as "wolf hound". . . which is as close the Russian language has to the slang term "news hound."

I watched a few. I really wanted it to work, but I thought it was boring. I loved the original and both pilot movies.

Worthless trivia is a good thing. Learned something new because of it. I saw that the original series is on sale at Amazon.com so I'll probably have to pick it up now.

Sangnoir, don't hesitate-it's classic 70's horror. I had not seen many of the episodes since they first aired so I was amazed to see some of the stuff the censors let on the air back then.
I guess I think the same about ALL IN THE FAMILY-the slang terms used on that show would cause a serious stink in our oh so PC environment.

Oh wow, were I just caught that you were talking about the new one. I was not a big fan of that version. I LOVED the one from the 70's.

Never saw the "resurrection". The original series was a favorite, even though it was usually either brilliant or awful. I'd love to get the set - the werewolf story, the zombie story, the Spanish Moss Murders, The Horror in the Heights...

Lordy, I'd love to see those again!
